Automation of quality related work is a step to decrease operator time, to counter the cost effect of ever increasing demand for measurement data, increase person indepency and eliminate errors. For this purpose we have chosen to install Inspection manager software some time ago, which integrates a number of quality related functions for instance in assembling measurement reports. All measurement devices which are connected to our network, are already integrated into the Inspection Manager software.
All “hand” measurement devices are not yet included, but increasingly we are repacing these with measurement devices which communicate via blue-tooth, so that noting down measurement results is avoided, and the results of the measurement will be integrated into the Inspection Manager software. We have extended this towards a height measurement apparatus Sylvac Hi_Cal 450, with built in Blue tooth communication.
